Parental Language‘ Impact on Kid's Analogical Reasoning

Analogical Reasoning, as a core mechanism of human cognition, is indeed the ability to recognize or reason about the relational similarity across different contexts. The previous studies indicate that language could help kids to reason analogically. In this research, we trace the influence of parental talk on kids’ analogical reasoning through everyday interaction and aim to facilitate kids’ analogical reasoning by rearranging the language in parenting.
